Information We Collect
Similar to many other platforms, we collect basic information to provide better services to all of our users.

We collect information in two ways:

1. Information you give us.
This includes the personal information – name, age, location, email address, birthdays, photos etc. – you provided when you registered for an account with us. Please be aware that this information is visible as well in your profile, except for some that can be made hidden. You can configure this in the ‘Edit Profile’ section.

2. Information we get from your use of our services.
These are the information we automatically collect about the services that you use and how you use them. This information may include details about the hardware, software, information from your local storage, and the mobile network you use, including mobile numbers, IP addresses, and location information. System activities, including crashes, hardware settings, browser type and language, and date and time may also be collected.

The purpose is to provide the user a properly-configured website or app, depending on the device they use. The information will also be used if legal issues and obligations arise, such as content restrictions per location and local taxations.

We may also collect your search queries, purchased items, and saved content. This is to provide you curated suggestions that may be of interest for you.

Komikko uses tracking technology as well, such as cookies and web beacons, to gather information about the user activities on the website, including the pages the user visited, for how long, links clicked, content browsed, and any other similar actions.

This is to help us manage our business better by giving as the chance to analyse site activity and improve our service, provide curated and personalized recommendations for you, help you remember the actions you have previously taken, and to provide third-party sites and advertising companies the information they need to enable them to tailor their content especially for you.
